Andy Bethune became the head men's golf coach at Saginaw Valley State University on June 1, 2002. Bethune competed on the SVSU golf team and earned four varsity letters (1983-87). He became a member of the PGA in 1991.
   From 1992-97, Bethune helped develop the Sawmill Golf Club in Saginaw, and currently serves as the course's Director of Golf Operations. Prior to the Sawmill's opening in 1997, Bethune worked as an instructor at Bay Valley Hotel and Resort and the Saginaw Country Club. From 1989-91, he worked at the Silver Lake Country Club in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
