     Todd Carter begins his first season with the Cardinals after being hired as offensive line coach in March 2005. Carter comes to SVSU from North Park University in Chicago, Illinois where he served as defensive coordinator and secondary coach since June 2003. Carter was involved in many aspects of the program including recruiting and special teams. At North Park, Carter also was the equipment manager and responsible for travel plans.
    Prior to North Park, Carter served for two years at Carroll College in Waukesha, Wisconsin as the offensive line coach. He also served as the head men and women's track and field coach for two years. He worked as a graduate assistant coach at the University of Connecticut from June 2000 to April 2001 and also at his alma mater DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana from 1998-2000.
    Carter received his bachelor's degree in history with a minor in physical education and secondary education from DePauw in 1998. He received his master's degree in secondary education from Indiana State University in 2002. Carter was a four-year varsity letterman and a two-year starter at center and tackle at DePauw. He was named the team captain and named all-conference at center in 1997.
