Cardinals To Face Norse in NCAA Regionals

UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. - The NCAA Division II Regional playoff pairings were announced on Monday (May 13) with Saginaw Valley State University (35-10, 20-7) placing third in the North Central Region. The Cardinals will travel to Ashland, Ohio, to face Northern Kentucky (35-22, 21-8) in the first round of the double-elimination tournament. Ashland University (44-11, 24-7) is the top seed, followed by NKU. Grand Valley State University (29-15, 19-7) is the fourth seed in the region.
   The Cardinals and Norse will square off in the first round of play on Thursday (May 16) at 12:00 p.m., followed by the Lakers and Eagles at 3:00 p.m. Three games are slated for Friday (May 17), beginning at 10:00 a.m. The North Central Region Champion will be crowned on Saturday (May 18), and will advance to the NCAA Division II World Series next week in Montgomery, Alabama.
    Tickets are available to the public. Single game tickets are $5 for adults, and $3 for students and senior citizens. Tournament tickets for the entire weekend are $10 for adults, and $6 for students and senior citizens. For more information contact the Ashland Ticket Office at 419-289-5441
