Cardinals Battle Back to Beat Bulldogs

University Center, Mich - Toby Larkin (Bridgeport HS) (3-0) entered the game for the Cardinals in the eighth inning to pick up the win 7-6 over Adrian College. Jay Scott (Burlington Ontario/Aldershot) paced the Cardinals with three hits (24), one walk (19), three runs scored (22), and three stolen bases (11). Justin Garcia (Bay City/Western) drove-in two runs (15) on the day including the game-winner in the bottom of the ninth. Eric Caldwell (Cary Grove Ill.) started the game and went five innings allowing three runs on five hits.
     With the win, the Cardinals move to 15-5 (6-3 GLIAC). SVSU will return to action on Thursday on the road against the Alma College Scots at 3 pm.
