Cardinals Run Record to 5-0
FORT MYERS, Fla. - The SVSU
baseball team claimed two more victories on Tuesday, sweeping
a double-header from Clarion University, 6-2 and 3-2. A few local
players were big keys to the Cardinals' sweep.
In the opener, Justin Garcia
(Bay City/Western) went 4 for 4 and Joe Kramer (Linden)
picked up the save. Adam Piggott (Sarnia, Ont.)
had the big bat for the Cards, hitting a three-run homer, his
first of the season.
In the nightcap, SVSU squeaked-by
with a 3-2 victory.
The Cardinals are now 5-0 on the
season as they prepare to take-on St. Thomas (Miami) on Wednesday.
