hosting an interdisciplinary Conference


Striding toward Salvation: Medieval and Renaissance Pilgrimage
in Europe and the Mediterranean

Friday, February 22 and Saturday, February 23, 2013

The Conference will consist of four paper sessions, beginning at 9:30am, 11:15am and 2:00pm on Friday and at 10:30am on Saturday, plus a keynote speech by Dr. Eugene Enrico, a founding member of the SVSU Music Department, to be delivered at 9:00am on Saturday.

 Events include:

  • A film screening of Eugene Enrico’s documentary, And They Sang a New Song: Twenty-Four Musical Elders at Santiago de Compostela, to be held at 4:00 on Friday.
  • A concert of medieval music by Early Music Michigan and the Hildegard Singers on Friday evening at 7:30. 

All events are free and open to the public, and will be held in the Rhea Miller Recital Hall.
